The Yucatan peninsula has a hot and humid climate with frequent rainfalls in the summer. The average annual temperature is 26°C. April and May are considered the warmest months, with maximum temperatures of 40°C. In Yucatan, the rainy season lasts from June to October and the hurricane season runs from June to November.
Due to Yucatan's high temperature, it is recommended:
Use of sunscreen and hats for sun protection. Wear light-colored, loose-fitting, breathable clothing, such as cotton.
Avoid exposure to the sun for prolonged periods (In case of extreme sunburn seek medical attention)
Always carry water bottles to prevent dehydration

Due to the presence of diseases such as "dengue", "chikungunya" and "zika" it is essential to use mosquito repellent so as to reduce the exposure to insect bites that might transmit the virus.

Electricity supply in Mexico is 110 – 127 V with 60Hz power. Sockets are American type, with two flat pin input. You might need a socket adapter. However, most hotels have at least one "European" socket in their rooms.
